Service Pro Tip
Service Pro Tip from Kevin Theise - NOTE - The one with the gauge fitting over the belt needs to read NO GOOD and the one where the gauge does not fit over the belt needs to read GOOD. As a fan belt wears over time, fan speed will slowly decrease until a low-speed warning becomes present and at this time you may have already noticed an issue with the cooling performance of your engine. To prevent down time it is important to check your fan belt periodically. A “no go” belt gauge (Part #R569237) can be purchased from our parts department to check your belts condition. If the gauge fits over the belt the belt is NO GOOD and will need to be replaced. This is also one of the points we check on our VMI.
